چکیده

We study Neumann type boundary value problems for nonlocal equations related to Lévy processes. Since these equations are nonlocal, Neumann type problems can be obtained in many ways, depending on the kind of “reflection” we impose on the outside jumps. To focus on the new phenomenas and ideas, we consider different models of reflection and rather general non-symmetric Lévy measures, but only simple linear equations in half-space domains. We derive the Neumann/reflection problems through a truncation procedure on the Lévy measure, and then we develop a viscosity solution theory which includes comparison, existence, and some regularity results. For problems involving fractional Laplacian type operators like e.g. (−∆)α/2, we prove that solutions of all our nonlocal Neumann problems converge as α → 2 to the solution of a classical Neumann problem. The reflection models we consider include cases where the underlying Lévy processes are reflected, projected, and/or censored upon exiting the domain.

On Neumann and oblique derivatives boundary conditions for nonlocal elliptic equations

Inspired by the penalization of the domain approach of Lions & Sznitman, we give a sense to Neumann and oblique derivatives boundary value problems for nonlocal, possibly degenerate elliptic equations. Two different cases are considered: (i) homogeneous Neumann boundary conditions in convex, possibly non-smooth and unbounded domains, and (ii) general oblique derivatives boundary conditions in s...

On a class of systems of n Neumann two-point boundary value Sturm-Liouville type equations

Employing a three critical points theorem, we prove the existence ofmultiple solutions for a class of Neumann two-point boundary valueSturm-Liouville type equations. Using a local minimum theorem fordifferentiable functionals the existence of at least one non-trivialsolution is also ensured.

A Boundary Meshless Method for Neumann Problem

Boundary integral equations (BIE) are reformulations of boundary value problems for partial differential equations. There is a plethora of research on numerical methods for all types of these equations such as solving by discretization which includes numerical integration. In this paper, the Neumann problem is reformulated to a BIE, and then moving least squares as a meshless method is describe...

A Collocation Method with Modified Equilibrium on Line Method for Imposition of Neumann and Robin Boundary Conditions in Acoustics (TECHNICAL NOTE)

A collocation method with the modified equilibrium on line method (ELM) forimposition of Neumann and Robin boundary conditions is presented for solving the two-dimensionalacoustical problems. In the modified ELM, the governing equations are integrated over the lines onthe Neumann (Robin) boundary instead of the Neumann (Robin) boundary condition equations. Inother words, integration domains are...

Error estimation for nonlinear pseudoparabolic equations with nonlocal boundary conditions in reproducing kernel space

In this paper we discuss about nonlinear pseudoparabolic equations with nonlocal boundary conditions and their results. An effective error estimation for this method altough has not yet been discussed. The aim of this paper is to fill this gap.
